Short, because there isn't much to say. Using Lovah means you're alright with what's below.
The five gifts are free
Date Request, Sorry Note, Timer Box, Letter and Bouquet. Make as many as you like, send them to whoever you like, as often as you like. No account needed, no card, no trial that quietly ends.
These five stay free. Two things cost money, the Digital Advent Calendar and Our Story, both below, and they are additions rather than a fence around what already worked. Nothing that was free has stopped being free, and nothing that is free today will start costing later.
The two things that cost money
The Digital Advent Calendar: boxes that open one every morning. It comes in two sizes, 3 mornings at ₹99 and 5 mornings at ₹199.
Our Story: your moments, your photographs and a letter, on one page they scroll. Two sizes: Three moments at ₹99, which holds three moments and is finished when you send it, and Everything at ₹199, which you can keep adding to for as long as you like. Both links last forever and never change. If you send the smaller one and want more later, you pay the difference (₹100) rather than buying it again. You can read a finished one before you make anything.
Both are one payment for one gift. Nothing recurs, nothing renews, and there is no plan to cancel. Prices are in Indian rupees and are what you pay. No tax added at the end, no delivery charge, no second payment later. Sending either one needs an account, because something nobody owns is something nobody can get back into; building it does not, and opening or playing one never does.
Delivery is immediate for both: the moment the payment goes through, it is published and the links are on your screen and in your inbox.
Purchases are final, and we're sorry to be firm about it. You build the whole thing before anybody mentions money, and the checkout lets you look through all of it before you pay, so please do take your time there. Once the payment lands the gift is live and both links are yours, and there is nothing to hand back. The one exception is a gift that genuinely doesn't work: that one is ours to fix, and if we truly can't, you get your money back. The detail is on the refunds page, and you are always welcome to write to us first.
Payments go through Razorpay. Your card details never reach Lovah and we never see them. We are told that a payment succeeded and for how much, and that is all. We can change prices for new purchases whenever we like; we will never change one you have already made.
A link is a link
Every gift lives at an address that is long and effectively unguessable, but it is not private. Anyone who has the link can open the gift, and anyone they forward it to can too. Send it to the person it's for, and don't put anything in a gift that would hurt you if it travelled further than you meant.
The edit link is the only thing that proves a gift is yours. Treat it like a key.
Old enough
You need to be at least 13 to use Lovah. If you're under 18, that's fine, but a parent or guardian should be alright with you using it, because a gift can carry photos and a message meant for one person. If you're a parent and you'd rather we removed something about your child, write to us and it goes.
What not to make
Lovah is for sending something nice to someone who'd want it. So, plainly, don't use it to:
- frighten, harass, threaten or repeatedly contact somebody who has asked you to stop
- upload photos of a person who hasn't agreed to being in them
- impersonate somebody else
- send anything sexual involving a child, or anything otherwise illegal where you are
- break the thing on purpose, by scraping it, hammering it, or picking at it for holes
We can remove a gift that breaks these, and close an account that keeps doing it. A gift is a nice thing to receive; that only holds if nobody turns it into a way of getting at someone.
What you made stays yours
Your words and your photos belong to you. You're giving us permission to store them and show them to whoever opens your link, because that is the entire service, and nothing beyond that. We don't use anything you write or upload for advertising, for training anything, or as an example without asking you first.
The writing, the artwork and the way the gifts behave are ours.
What we can and can't promise
We will try hard to keep Lovah up, quick and intact. We can't promise it will never break, so please don't make it the only copy of something you'd be upset to lose. Keep your own copy of a photograph that matters.
If something does go wrong, what we owe you is a genuine effort to fix it. Beyond that, to the extent the law allows, Lovah is provided as-is, and our liability for anything arising out of using it is limited to what you actually paid us for the thing that went wrong.
Ending it
You can stop whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account and everything in it. See Privacy. We'd only close an account for the reasons above, and we'd tell you why.
Changes
If these change, the date at the top changes. Anything that materially affects people with accounts gets an email, not a silent edit.
